Perfect for Families
Days 1 and 2
We start in Johannesburg and make our way to the Timbavati on the first day. The Timbavati is a private area of the Greater Kruger Park, and allows you to start the tour with a little extra comfort and special attention. We spend two nights in this small camp and do two game drives a day.
These game drives are done in a 4x4 and will venture off road to get you very close to special sightings like the Big 5 as well as Cheetah and Wild Dog. You will also have a chance to do a bush walk, which is really great.
Day 3 and 4
We make our way into the public sector of Kruger National Park to spend our next two nights there. Here you will once again enjoy two game drives a day.
Day 5 and 6
We make our way through Swazilandand into KwaZulu-Natal, where our first port of call will be the Pongola Private Game Reserve. Once again we will spend two nights here and some of the attractions to look forward to are: a game cruise on the Pongola dam (a great way to see the animals as they come to drink), then Rhino tracking, where we see how close we can get to the Rhino before they see us (don’t worry it is safe).
You also get to do plenty of other great wildlife related activities. Pongola Game Reserve also has a SPA where you can pamper yourself, after all you are on holiday (SPA treatments are not included in the price).
Day 7
We continue south to the oldest game reserve in South Africa. This is the Hluhluwe Imfolozi game reserve which was formed for the sole purpose of saving the Rhino, and boy has it done a great job. Once again two game drives a day. We will unfortunately only be spending one night here.
Day 8
We make our way to Shakaland which is a Zulu cultural village. Here we will spend one night learning some of the Zulu’s customs and joining them in some great activities.
Day 9
We drive down to Durban, where you will fly to George in the garden route. Here our Cape Town based guide will collect you and take you to the four star guest house in Wilderness (right on the beach). Were you can enjoy the rest of the day exploring the various trails in the Wilderness National Park or a long walk along the beach or just relax. We will spend three nights here.
Day 10
