Oasis Eco Camp

Description

Oasis Eco Camp is an exclusive FAMILY FRIENDLY, ALCOHOL FREE getaway on the floor of the Great Rift Valley Kenya, on the shores of Lake Elementaita. Set in the midst of a natural acacia forest and bushes, it is home to abundant birdlife, with the lake area boasting of over 450 species of birds (The camp is a birders paradise).

The camp provides a serene, quiet and peaceful natural environment, conducive for friends and family retreats, birding enthusiasts, bush lovers, ecologists, archeologists, bikers and hikers.

The sorrounding attractions/activities include.
- Visit to the Great Rift Valley Lakes - Lake Nakuru, Naivasha, Bogoria and Lake Baringo
-Game viewing at Lake Nakuru national park and Lord Delamere's Soysambu Conservancy
-Visit to Kariandusi Prehistoric site discovered by Dr. Leakey
-Visit to Menengai Crater and Hyrax Hill prehistoric sites.
-Visit to Thompson Falls
-Hiking and birdwalks along the shores of Lake Elementaita

The camp facilities include, a large main building with a lounge and dining/kichen area. There are three bandas and three tents all which are self contained and have hot showers and flush toilets. They are furnished with very comfortable log beds and furniture and are solar powered.

Ample playing grounds, an earthen basket ball court, swings, see saw and other outdoor facilities for kids are available.

The camp has very scenic camping grounds next to the lake with a modern shower and toilet facility.

The camp is designed with nature and outdoor enthusiasts in mind but may not be suitable for those looking for a standard hotel.
