Comment: | Our safari was wonderful. They did everything they said they would do, plus more. We were very well taken care of, the camp we stayed at in the Mara was excellent, our driver George was the best, all of our connections to and from airports went smoothly, we loved our stay in Mombasa, and all of the drivers and staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. Yared in the Nairobi office was great, helping us with our planning both before and after we got to Kenya. Boaz was also very helpful and was great in making last minute changes for us. I would definitely use this company again, and would highly recommend it to anyone. |

Comment: | From the moment the Africa Guide website set us up with the contact information all the way to the end of the safari, it was a good enjoyable experience. The tour operator was very professional and reliable and were very helpful in helping us find the most suitable safari package. When we arrived in kenya 4 days prior to the safari we wanted to change our driving arrangements to flying arrangements and without any sort of hassel the operator changed our itinerary to exactly what we wanted. The safari was a great experience and was made much more enjoyable by making it easy on us to plan it. If I ever do a safari again, this operaotr is definately the company I'm going to use to plan it. |

Comment: | Everything went well, they are a reliable agent with whom communication was swift. They arranged a Kenya Safari for us covering three different parks (Lake Nakuru, Sweetwaters and Samburu Nat. Park). We were very satisfied with the accommodations, the driver/guide, vehicle and the many animals we saw. In perspective, we would have perhaps added one more day to our safari to enable us more game viewing (particularly at Lake Nakuru Park). Overall all was good and we appreciate Mr. Boaz' effort and dedication in putting this safari together for us. I will call you him to thank him for this. Thanks again for your interest and for The Africa Guide continuing to be a reliable partner in directing customers to professional travel agents around the continent. Should we decide on future trips to Africa (very likely) we will contact you again for guidance and help. |

Comment: | Communication with them was fluid, they were accommodating to our requests and put together a complex trip for us (private Safari, including Arusha and Zanzibar). Their tour operator in Tanzania was professional and reliable, offered very good service during our trip. The guide/driver assigned to our group (Edwin Ntuku) was very knowledgeable and provided excellent service during our Safari. We had a wonderful trip. We would like to thank The Africa Guide team for offering us this operators as a reliable and professional tour operator for our recent trip to Tanzania (June 2015) |

Comment: | On the scale that you suggest, I'd rate our experience at 10 pts. in terms of services provided. That was also our honeymoon trip and our guide made it very special and memorable for us. The guide was extremely polite and flexible with our timing. The camps that were offered to us also contributed to our best possible experience. They were clean, welcoming, and supplied with great food. |

Comment: | Thankyou for your email and the opportunity to provide some feedback...after our time in Africa, we continued our honeymoon in Europe so we have only just 2 days ago returned home to New Zealand. We absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVED our time in Africa!! We were nervous booking our trip through a company offshore but we were so pleased we did! EVERYTHING was perfect! The attention to detail and effort Siema put into organising our itinerary for us was beyond superb. We felt completely looked after from the moment Siema met us at the airport, throughout our entire trip, and even when we were transferred to the airport at 1am for our departing flight! Our driver/guide Amos was fantastic! He was helpful, caring and full of so much knowledge that he willingly shared with us. We never felt we were asking too many questions which is such a nice feeling when you are immersed into a new culture you want to learn so much about. Our transition to your sister company for our trip through Tanzania was smooth and without hassle, again we were so well looked after. All our accommodations along the way knew we were on our honeymoon and each did something of their own choice to make our stay romantic or that little more memorable - we felt so special! We will never forget our time in Africa, nor the new friends we have made in Siema and Amos. If we ever return to Africa or have friends and family wanting to visit Africa, we know exactly which company we will be contacting! Thanks so much for the trip of a lifetime -definitely a top score of 10 from us! |

Comment: | The tour operator was very professional and the trip went 100% smoothly. Our luggage weight was too heavy and they took 1 suitcase back to their office for us. By the time we discovered that we left all our papers e.g.(itinerary) they were gone. After a quick phone call, they assured us that they will call ahead to each lodge, telling them that we DO have vouchers, but not with us.True to their word we were expected everywhere. I found this operator on the internet, and to tell the truth I was a bit worried as one never knows.... They proved fantastic above all expectations. |

Comment: | I am very happy to give a glowing reference, we had a wonderful time. Our guide Michael was 1st class, friendly, knowledgeable and made my wish come true to see Hippo's. I had made my wishes known to to the operator beforehand that it was a priority to see Hippo's, however this was not included in the itinerary. Michael to the rescue! he juggled our time of departure and our meal times and fitted in in between transfer from one location to another. For that reason I would give the company 9 out of ten. And a big fat ten to Michael, thank you so much you made our trip. The location of our accommodation were all very different , with different experiences in each location, all in all it was well planned and I would definitely do it again, and would not hesitate to recommend, |

Comment: | As an overall response I must say that our tour was extremely rewarding and that the services provided by the operator were excellent - until the last day. Our guide was both knowledgeable and skillful. He was particularly considerate of our ages and physical limitations. Our respect for the beauty of Kenya and the friendliness of its citizens has increased beyond description. Despite the depressing poverty that we saw I admire the positive attitude of the people. The only negative was our last day and that was a very disappointing and costly one. Our itinerary was for us to return to Nairobi after an early morning game drive and to overnight at the same hotel in which we had begun the safari. But then it was suggested that we consider changing the plan to stay in the Maasai Mara instead. The idea was to afford us additional opportunities to view the wildlife. Both hotels are part of the same chain. However, the operator said that because we had booked the Nairobi hotel through a US agent she couldn't help so we dealt with the Sarova Mara Tented Camp ourselves. With the amount of business given to the Sarova chain by the operator it seems that they should have pushed harder. In addition to paying a hefty premium for the reservation change that was made and for an added day of safari we found out, after the fact, that we had to pay an additional day's park fees. All that we got in return was a short morning safari ride. We didn't even get the promised "early morning game drive" on our day that we returned to Nairobi. |

Comment: | Our safari went far beyond our expectations. The team were very personal and professional at the same time. Whenever we had questions they were addressed immediately before we traveled and during the trip our sales consultant, Bernard Muchiri, phoned and asked how our trip was going and could they be of any help in any way. Bernard also came to the hotel and introduced himself at the beginning of our trip. Our guide was superb, exhibiting a great deal of knowledge about his country and getting us to a place where we were able to see and photograph the animals. He did everything in his power to make our trip memorable and enjoyable. We highly recommend this company because it is doing everything right in showing off the country. On the Tanzanian part of our tour we also had a most memorable experience. Our guide was a veteran driver/guide who knew where to find animals and birds. He was very considerate of our personal well being. He was proud to be showing us his country and also gave us background on its history and people. Both of these tour groups were just excellent. |

Comment: | I am happy to provide some feed back on our recent safari and indeed the whole experience from initial enquiry to being escorted to the airport for our return to the UK. Our initial was answered promptly and courteously with suggestions for suitable safaris taking into account our particular circumstances such as advancing years etc. The standard safari that we chose was then 'fine tuned' to suit our individual travel arrangements, with accommodation in Nairobi, travel to and from the airport, and additional visits arranged and then presented as a complete personal package. All these arrangements and any enquiries we susequently had were dealt with personally by a single representitive, who came to meet us in Nairobi before we commenced our safari. The actual safari experience and the Lodges chosen for us were beyond fault, all made the more pleasurable by the friendliness and in depth knowledge of our guide. We were met at Nairobi airport by our guide who stayed with us throughout our visit until he finally escorted us back to the airport. We travelled in a 6 seat, 4 wheel drive 'mini-bus' with lifting roof (which was always clean inside and out every morning) all to ourselves. Although we visited 4 of Kenya's reserves, our guide found the 'Big Five' for us in the first two, well before we visited the Maasi Mara. All in all a most memorable holiday and I would not hesitate to recommend the operator for arranging personalised safaris. |

Comment: | On behalf of myself and my family I would like to thank, Ben and all the staff for creating our excellent customised Kenyan safari holiday which exceeded all expectations. Our itinerary was initially conceived through internet research and as a result of TV wildlife documentary viewing. As such many of our requests were, on the face of it seemingly impractical but through the knowledge and pragmatism of the staff a sensible and feasible itinerary was put together which exactly matched our needs. I found it very easy to communicate with staffwith all Email requests being answered the same or next working day. I was initially apprehensive at having to send a not inconsiderable sum of money to a company on another continent with which I have had no previous dealings with but prompt confirmation of all payments and subsequent full delivery of all promised services (and much more) I can confirm the absolute reliability and professionalism of your company. Indeed shortly after arranging our itinerary and paying the deposit, European flight restrictions created by the erupting Icelandic volcano became a potential problem but the operator was able to reassure me by offering a guarantee of alternative later-date arrangements or refund should we be prevented from flying out to Kenya. All arrangements/bookings went smoothly without mishap and when the Samburu “floods” effectively closed down the majority of lodges in that area your timely intervention ensured we had alternate accommodation which still allowed us to fully experience the Samburu/Buffalo Springs area. The accommodation suggested was of a consistently high standard and our only grievance was that Nakuru Sarova Lion Hill Lodge did not have accommodation for our driver who having spent a long and tiring day driving then had to make the wearisome drive back into Nakuru to find himself a room for that night. Last, but certainly not least, we would like to express our great appreciation for and admiration of our driver/guide Mr Ben Gitari. I specifically mentioned that I would appreciate a guide who had good knowledge of Kenyan birdlife and so it was our great fortune to receive Ben as our guide. Ben’s knowledge of Kenyan Natural History is extensive and his field skills are considerable. We repeatedly found ourselves in the right place at the right time! We witnessed four separate Mara river crossings during our 4 night stay in the Mara including one massive crossing involving a never-ending herd of Wildebeeste, huge Crocs and carnage exceeding anything we have previously seen on wildlife documentaries! The “big five” we saw many times over including numerous lions at Samburu, Buffalo Springs, Nakuru and the Mara. We saw a total of five different leopards -at Mount Kenya (2), Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Nakuru. We saw Black Rhino at Sweetwaters, Nakuru and a mother and calf in the southern Mara; whilst elephant and buffalo were frequent at most of our venues. The wealth of supporting cast was also extensive with highlights being Spotted Hyena, Cheetah, Kudu, Beisa Oryx, Eland, Hunter’s Hartebeeste, Gerenuk, Grevy’s Zebra and grazing hippos on the lawn outside our room at Baringo. Though this was a vehicle-based safari the birds were also numerous and spectacular with too many to mention though the raptors (especially the Verreaux’s Eagles), bustards, flamingo and nesting waterbirds at Baringo (during a fantastic and highly recommended boat trip) particularly spring to mind. Most of what we saw was down to the skills and experience of Ben. His expertise does not however end with wildlife viewing and birdwatching as he clearly has a considerable knowledge of the people and the land itself whilst also holding expert driving skills. Furthermore he is humorous and affable company with a wide repertoire of entertaining stories, anecdotes and experiences all of which helped to ease the burden of some of our longer journeys. Finally, Ben was clearly widely known and respected by fellow-guides being one of the more senior figures in the East African Safari circuit. Based on our experience of the professionalism, organisational ability and integrity of the operator and the quality and competence of their guides, we have no reservation in thoroughly recommending this company to anyone contemplating an East African vacation; be it a few days reprieve from a beach-holiday or an extensive all-embracing multi-centre safari. |

Comment: | We've just returned from our custom safari we put together with the help of this operator. It was the trip of a lifetime! Siema was very helpful. He answered all our questions as we made the arragements and even met us of the day we were picked up in Nairobi for a trip to Lake Nakuru and then on to the Masa Mara. Our driver and guide, David, has over 15 years of experience and was very knowledgeable. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers and David made it fun and interesting for them as well. From the transportation, to the lodging, to the game drives we had a perfect trip! I would recommend them to anyone planning an African Safari! |

Comment: | Our experience was excellent. Bernard, who handled the planning and booking of the trip, was superb. I must mention specifically that the responses to my queries were most prompt and precise to the point. There was never any evasion of any issue and each query was replied to in specific terms. On arrival in Nairobi, though we had to face a cancellation of flight service and re-scheduling, we were met promptly and taken to our overnight hotel. The tour commencement briefing that Siema gave us was precise and clear and all formalities were completed promptly. Ben Gitari, our guide and driver, was excellent and most courteous and prompt throughout. Ben gave us loads of information, enthusiastically tracked wild life and made our trip most worthwhile and excellent without any hitch or scope for regret whatsoever. All in all, my wife, daughter and myself enjoyed our trip and we all commend the care and attention that we received all through from Bernard, Siema and Ben Gitari |

Comment: | My wife, daughter and I had the adventure of a lifetime in only one short week, thanks to the planning and arrangements made by the operator. They worked with us patiently over the Internet to tailor the itinerary so that it accommodated our dreams of what an African safari should be, while fitting it into our travel and budget constraints. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable, pleasant, drove safely and became our trusted friend. The Masai Mara safari was magnificent! We saw the "Big Five" in their natural environment, and came home with some awesome pictures. We went on to see the pink flamingos at Lake Nakuru, and walked amidst giraffes and zebras on Crescent Island. The accommodations were all first-rate and safe. We highly recommend them. |

Comment: | Have just returned from this safari and have been exceedingly happy with the arrangements, from Siema's pre-trip organisation, to the accommodation arranged in both Kenya and Tanzania. Both our driver/guides - George in Kenya and Nuru in Tanzania - were excellent, careful drivers and very knowledgeable about the areas, animals and birds. |
