Comment: | Everything went well, they are a reliable agent with whom communication was swift. They arranged a Kenya Safari for us covering three different parks (Lake Nakuru, Sweetwaters and Samburu Nat. Park). We were very satisfied with the accommodations, the driver/guide, vehicle and the many animals we saw. In perspective, we would have perhaps added one more day to our safari to enable us more game viewing (particularly at Lake Nakuru Park). Overall all was good and we appreciate Mr. Boaz' effort and dedication in putting this safari together for us. I will call you him to thank him for this. Thanks again for your interest and for The Africa Guide continuing to be a reliable partner in directing customers to professional travel agents around the continent. Should we decide on future trips to Africa (very likely) we will contact you again for guidance and help. |

Comment: | I am very happy to give a glowing reference, we had a wonderful time. Our guide Michael was 1st class, friendly, knowledgeable and made my wish come true to see Hippo's. I had made my wishes known to to the operator beforehand that it was a priority to see Hippo's, however this was not included in the itinerary. Michael to the rescue! he juggled our time of departure and our meal times and fitted in in between transfer from one location to another. For that reason I would give the company 9 out of ten. And a big fat ten to Michael, thank you so much you made our trip. The location of our accommodation were all very different , with different experiences in each location, all in all it was well planned and I would definitely do it again, and would not hesitate to recommend, |

Comment: | I am happy to provide some feed back on our recent safari and indeed the whole experience from initial enquiry to being escorted to the airport for our return to the UK. Our initial was answered promptly and courteously with suggestions for suitable safaris taking into account our particular circumstances such as advancing years etc. The standard safari that we chose was then 'fine tuned' to suit our individual travel arrangements, with accommodation in Nairobi, travel to and from the airport, and additional visits arranged and then presented as a complete personal package. All these arrangements and any enquiries we susequently had were dealt with personally by a single representitive, who came to meet us in Nairobi before we commenced our safari. The actual safari experience and the Lodges chosen for us were beyond fault, all made the more pleasurable by the friendliness and in depth knowledge of our guide. We were met at Nairobi airport by our guide who stayed with us throughout our visit until he finally escorted us back to the airport. We travelled in a 6 seat, 4 wheel drive 'mini-bus' with lifting roof (which was always clean inside and out every morning) all to ourselves. Although we visited 4 of Kenya's reserves, our guide found the 'Big Five' for us in the first two, well before we visited the Maasi Mara. All in all a most memorable holiday and I would not hesitate to recommend the operator for arranging personalised safaris. |

Comment: | Our experience was excellent. Bernard, who handled the planning and booking of the trip, was superb. I must mention specifically that the responses to my queries were most prompt and precise to the point. There was never any evasion of any issue and each query was replied to in specific terms. On arrival in Nairobi, though we had to face a cancellation of flight service and re-scheduling, we were met promptly and taken to our overnight hotel. The tour commencement briefing that Siema gave us was precise and clear and all formalities were completed promptly. Ben Gitari, our guide and driver, was excellent and most courteous and prompt throughout. Ben gave us loads of information, enthusiastically tracked wild life and made our trip most worthwhile and excellent without any hitch or scope for regret whatsoever. All in all, my wife, daughter and myself enjoyed our trip and we all commend the care and attention that we received all through from Bernard, Siema and Ben Gitari |

Comment: | I am so grateful to you for referring us to this operator. I can’t say enough good things about them. From the very start, our tour consultant Siema Edward was prompt and courteous in responding to my emails. He devised an itinerary that was exactly what we wanted, and was very flexible in revising it many times to accommodate the changes that we wished to make as we learned more about our destinations. Once we arrived in Africa, every possible detail was seen to at each stage. We were always met or picked up on time (or early) by friendly and courteous drivers, our accommodations were of a high quality in beautiful settings, and always with excellent food. We had a wonderful driver/guide in Rafael for our Safari who made sure we saw all that was possible to see in our time in Masai Mara. The organization of our visits to Lamu and Mombasa and back to Nairobi was perfect – flights, drivers, hotels, etc. And when at the last minute we realized that our hotel in Nairobi was not as centrally located we like in a city, we were reassigned and upgraded to the Stanley in downtown Nairobi without extra charge. I would recommend them to anyone going to East Africa, and will not hesitate to use them again. |

Comment: | Our trip was just wonderful, the operator was so professional and every aspect of the safari far exceeded our expectations. We have not stopped talking about our trip, and have already passed on the company's name to our friends, who will be contacting them in the near future to book their own safari. We just never dreamed we would see so many animals, and so close, and Patricks knowledge was amazing. Thank you again so much we had the best holiday we could ever imagine!! |

Comment: | Six of us (Self, My wife, Son, Daughter-in -law, two grand sons(11 and8 Years) went on a Safari trip in Kenya, from Sept 4 to October3,2009. We went to Samburu National park, Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara and Lake Naivasha. We had a wonderful Trip for the entire duration. We sighted a Lot of Animals including the Big5.The Flamingos in Lake Nakuru was fantastic. At lake Naivasha the Nature walk was fabulous. Mount Kenya was a lovely stay, though we were not lucky to sight any animals. Samburu was a very good experience as it was our first visit to any safari park in Kenya. We sighted alot of animals. Masai Mara was the ULTIMATE as we were there for 3 days and had 5 outings including one full day in the Park. It was great as we could see lots of animals, specially the Lions, cheetas, Elephants, Giraffes and Wildebeests. We took lot of Photographs throughout our trip. Mr Bernard had made Lovely arrangements. From the time we arrived in Nairobi Airport till the time we finished our trip and came back to Nairobi Airport,we were taken care of Fully without any hitch. We had an excellent Driver and Guide, Rafael, who was outstanding in taking care of us. We were more than satisfied and got more than our Money's value. On a scale of 10,I would rate our trip in Excess of nine,as there is nothing equivalent to PERFECT10. Comment: | I am happy to give you some feedback! I recently had the lucky experience of going on a week long safari and it changed my life! Everything was amazing starting as soon as we were picked up from our wonderful guide Rafael. It is hard to put into words what one experiences while on safari in Kenya, but I can say that it was the most mind blowing experience I've had to date. My mother and I were beyond pleased with the services provided us with and were treated so well at all of the lodges and at each stop. We saw the most beautiful landscapes and were face to face with animals one can only dream of seeing in their natural environment. The lodges were all wonderful with very pleasant staff and clean accommodations. The sites were breathtaking and each place had something different than the last. Overall - this was the best trip we have been on and I highly recommend it to anyone considering it. |

Comment: | "An African Safari was on my mind since many years, just had to choose between Kenya,Kruger,Tanzania. Kruger was way beyond my budget and so was Tanzania. Eventually finalised on Kenya. The tour operator made it possible for me. I had a completely off-track personalised itinerary- had my own cook - Easton and my driver - Rafeal. My Tour Manager, Boaz was extremely patient with my doubts and helped me choose the best places. The Safari van was well maintained and the resorts we chose were 100% comfort. I opted to use a conbination of a 5 star resort, forest lodges & executive tents inside the sanctuary too ! Easton cooked a lot of variety and served us HOT food everyday and Rafeal never showed a sign of fatigue. So, we landed at Nairobi on 23rd Oct 08, and set off for Samburu-Mt Kenya-Nakuru- Naivasha-Masai mara. 10 Days of Wild life bonanza and 19 GB of some astonishing animal pictures/sunsets/tribal potraits and mara landscapes...Ofcourse we saw the Big 5 and loads of others too.. Tipping is important in Kenya, also because the Country is not so rich especially porters/Dirvers/your cook etc, and also because these people take care of you and your precious luggage all the time. I felt obliged and gave them tips out of love and not out of any pity... You must use this tour operator - they are professional and clean in their transactions." |

Comment: | We are just back form a safari in Kenya... and I can say that it will not be the last time..!!! It was really an experinece that will last a lifetime... our guide Francis Wathika was just faboulous... he made sure we saw the best in the time we had... and I must say that the arrangements made by Boaz were great... so much so that he even arranged for me to have a Kenya SIM card (telephone) before I arraived so that I could be in touch with my office and people back in Dubai even before I left for the safari. The hotels that we stayed in were exceptional... the quality of food food was great.. the staff very warm.. all in all a wonderful experience... I would recommed my friends to visit Kenya and use this Safari Operator for Sure..!!! |

Comment: | Having returned from our safari we are totally convinced that this was was absolutely the best choice in tour operators. Bernard was wonderful to work with; the itinerary he put together for us was magnificent. We were grateful to have Raphael as our tour guide. His knowledge, experience and humor everyday was a joy. The animals well-being always came first which we truly admired and repected. The whole safari they provided had a "family run" feel but with price and luxury you assume only large operators could provide. We will use only them when we safari again, and will recommend only them to anyone who asks. |

Comment: | We had a thoroughly enjoyable trip! We took a 7 night lodge safariand it was fabulous. The service was outstanding, right through from booking over email, being picked up from the airport, the driving between each park, the game drives and being returned safely to our flight. Our guide Ben was excellent. He had a great eye for spotting the wildlife, was very knowledgeable and informative, and he was also very patient and willing to accommodate our personal preferences in terms of extra activities, times of drives etc. We felt very safe with Ben and would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone else. We saw all of the big 5 and so much more. We took away some incredible photos and memories of being so close to the beautiful animals. On the downside, our van had some electrical problems that caused it to break down on several occasions. Having said this, our driver was able to fix this each time within just 5-10 minutes. Also, we felt we were ill-informed about the terrible road to the Masia Mara. Had we known, we would have opted for a flight from Samburu to the Masai Mara, as we felt the 6-7 hour journey on very uncomfortable roads was a bit of a waste out of our precious 7 day safari. I would highly recommend others to opt for the flight. Overall we rate the tour as excellent and highly recommended. We found the operator to be very good value and offered a very professional, trustworthy service. All the best for the future - we hope to send some more people from NZ to see you soon! |

Comment: | In reference to my safari, I have to say that was wonderfull, every thing they offer was received and our guide was so diligent to get the big five, we were group of four and all will recomend them to our friends and relatives. We learned to bargain in the markets and enjoy to do this but some times that is to much. The hotels in general were good and the people was always so kind, smiling and alert to solve anything. |

Comment: | My daughters and I completed a 1-week safari in Kenya a week and a half ago. We thoroughly enjoyed the safari and Kenya (our first visit toAfrica). The schedule and itinerary was difficult at times for the girls (ages 8 and 9) but they appreciated opportunity to see such an amazing array of animals in their natural habitat and children from the Samburu and Massai tribes. My highlight was when we were in the middle of a herd of 20 elephants in Samburu. Our driver, Joe, was most dependable and pleasant to have in our group. |

Comment: | I chose to safari with you for three reasons. They were endorsed by the Kenya Travel Bureau. They provided a private safari for what others charged for packaged tours with 6-18 strangers. Everything that they did was done professionally. I was not disappointed in my selection. Ben as our driver/guide because Dusty is an avid bird-watcher. He was well versed in his bird knowledge and had a keen eye for the most obscure birds. He also seemed to have an excellent insight on just how and where to find any animal on request. I would just mention an animal, like the reticulated giraffe, and he would make a few turns and find one. We saw everything that we hoped to see with one exception. We did not see a Somali ostrich. We did see a vervet monkey, baboon, black and white colobus, jackal, slender mongoose, spotted hyena, lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, elephant, plains zebra, Grevy's zebra, white rhino, black rhino, warthog, hippo, masai giraffe, reticulated giraffe, Rothschild's giraffe, wildebeest, hartbeest, topi, impala, Grant's gazelle, Thomson's gazelle, gerenuk, buffalo, bushbuck, oryx, dik-dik, waterbuck, squirrel, mouse, cape hare, agama lizard, and Nile crocodile. Then there were the birds we saw. For that you can ask my wife. Ben was responsible for more than just driving and showing us the animals. He also had to change flat tires two times and have the grill welded once on his down time. This is not a reflection on the quality of your equipment, but an indication of just how rough it is on the roads and trails in Kenya. The safari van was excellent. A new Nissan with space for eight people that had only 3000 km on the odometer when we started (but much more by the end). And I do hope that insurance paid for the window that was broken when another vehicle knocked a rock into it. The rough roads and the hawkers trying to sell us bananas and bracelets were a little uncomfortable, but that is part of traveling. This was Kenya, not Disneyland. I appreciate the hardships as much as the incredible beauty. For someone who cannot take the long drives on rough roads I would recommend a flying safari. My wife and I did this when we were young because we knew it was not for sissies. Short story: Last day of safari in Massai Mara. A group of vans and jeeps is surrounding a ravine. Ben says that there is a lion going after a cheetah. We see a female cheetah walking out of the ravine looking back over her shoulder. The male lion is in the ravine. Ben says that lions kill baby cheetahs. Sad. Later another guide drives out of the ravine with a small bundle in a towel. He drops it in a field behind the cheetah. It makes small chirping sounds. It is a baby cheetah! Mother does not respond. After a while another guide picks it up (again in a towel to avoid scent) and drops it 30-meters in front of the mother. Ben says she may reject the baby. Mother goes over and sniffs the baby. She looks around. She sniffs. She looks. Long 1-2 minute pause. She picks up baby in her mouth and trots away. Tears fill eyes around the field. Happy ending. Thank you for our happy ending. |

Comment: | Our safari was just wonderful. I loved every minute of it. Serah made all the arrangements and she did a wonderful job as I added a couple of add ons to the itinerary. I added Amboseli National Park and I am glad I did as this was just breath-taking. All the lodges and staff were just brilliant. Our guide David collected us from the airport and was with us for the entire trip. He had a great sense of humour and I have never laughed so much in my entire life. Great guy. David could spot an animal a mile away therefor we got to see just about everything. (The big five anyway) We also added the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust - the orphaned baby elephants. This sanctuary is amazing. I must when in Nairobi. Also the Giraffe manor is heaps of fun and I also loved Karen Blixen museum. Definately do all three as you can do it in one day. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again. I am now planning a trip to Tanzania which David gave me a few tips. Thankyou to Serah, David and all the staff at all the lodges. We had an amazing time and look forward to going again some time soon. |

Comment: | We were provided with a great service from the time our guide met us at the airport until we returned to Nairobi to fly out. We had an incredible adventure over 10 days on a lodge safari in Kenya visiting Samburu, Lake Baringo, Mt. Kenya, Nakuru and finally in the Masaii Mara. We saw the Big 5 and were absolutely blown away with the amount of animals we saw and the ability to get so close to them in their natural habitat. It was a most memorable vacation thanks to the tour operator and their competence in arranging everything we wanted and needed to make it great! |
