01 Chobe NP – River cruise, Game drive D
02 Gweta, Local Village Walk BD
03 Maun BD
04 Okavango Delta – mokoro and walking trails BLD
05 Maun BLD
06 Khama Rhino Sanctuary – evening game drive BLD

Day 1
Leaving Livingstone and the Victoria Falls area, we cross into Botswana to Kasane. The nearby Chobe National Park is particularly known for its elephant populations but also has good numbers of predators including lion and leopard, as well as hippo, crocodile and antelope. We take a game drive and a cruise on the Chobe River and watch the wildlife come to drink at the end of the day – a relaxing and enjoyable experience!

Day 2 – 5
You spent a night in Gweta before arriving in Maun, the administrative centre for the vast Okavango Delta. Travelling into the Okavango Delta we use local guides (polers) and make our way in dug-out canoes (mokoro’s) through the maze of water channels that make up the Delta. We stay at a tented camp on an island and continue to explore the surroundings on foot with guided walks.

Day 6 – 7
Before leaving Maun there is the option of scenic flights over the Okavango Delta for another view of the Delta area. We then head south to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary, on the edge of the Kalahari Desert. We learn a little of its success in rhino conservation and take an evening game drive. Finally, we cross into South Africa and onto Pretoria where our tour ends.

About Our Reviews

Our reviews are Fully Qualified

We do not take reviews from unqualified sources

Since 1996 we have been working with the best tour operators in Africa. Our unique relationship with those operators ensures only people who have participated in a trip after making an enquiry for it at can leave a review.

The email we send you when you make an enquiry has full instructions for registering a booking and leaving a review - both are free services.

Feel free to read through the reviews for any trip you like the look of.

Trips with no reviews are usually new to but are normally operated by a tour operator who is established here and has gained operator reviews for you to read.

Thanks for visiting, happy travels and don't forget to send us your reviews...

About our trip providers and reviews

Our Trip Providers

We carry out extensive company checks on all our providers, over 20 years we have built strong personal relationships with each of them, which assures you of an unparalleled service, great value and the trip of a lifetime.
We have participated in many of the trips found here (we have a nice job) and make our own independent assessments of the services provided, ensuring they meet with our own high standards.

All the trips are supplied by the end provider of that trip.
You may find the same or similar trips elsewhere, usually these are offered by an agent.
We prefer to give you direct access to the trip provider for reasons outlined below:

  1. Best price.
The price you see here is the direct trip price set by the provider, the same price as purchasing directly with them (which is how it works), there are no added commissions.
This means you are not paying an agents commission and the provider is receiving their fully budgeted trip cost.
(agents can demand discounts from providers as well as adding commissions to the providers trip price)
  2. Easy customisation.
By booking directly with the end provider, making changes is quick and easy.
  3. Fast problem solving.
On the rare occasion that an issue may arise before or during your trip, by dealing directly with the end provider, problem solving is quick and efficient.
  4. Helping Africa help itself.
The most straightforward way to assist the economic opportunities and conditions for local people across Africa, is by direct financial interaction with people in Africa. In a nutshell "Tourism".
This kind of direct tourism gives opportunity to local people.

We limit the number of providers we work with in order to strike a balance between a good choice of trips and to be sure we can honestly recommend the service and validity of each provider.
Because the majority of trips can be customised by the providers, the choice of trip configurations is in the tens of thousands.

Our Reviews

We have 3,000+ reviews for our trips and providers.
All our reviews are fully qualified, we do not take unqualified reviews.
We show all reviews, the good and the critical (very few). Our providers have the ability to respond to reviews and those responses are shown alongside the review.
Acquiring genuine reviews is actually very hard, for our genuine travellers we make this an easy process but many people although satisfied with the service they received do not leave a review.

Many reviews on the internet can be left by an open process with little or no checks.
At best unqualified reviews are worthless, at worst they are misleading. We never take unqualified reviews.

We hope you find a trip to your liking and we are here to assist.

Wishing you happy travels...
