Budget Gorilla Safari in Uganda

Day 1 : Arrival
Warm welcome at Entebbe Airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Airport Guesthouse.

Day 2 : Entebbe - Murchison Falls National Park
Today you will meet our representative who will drive you to the most beautiful protected area in Uganda: Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival we will visit the magnificent falls where you can marvel at the mighty Nile. Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison (safari tent).

Day 3 : Murchison Falls National Park
After an early morning breakfast you will enjoy a half-day game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, with chances of seeing elephants, giraffes, lions, hartebeests and a variety of birds. After lunch we will go on a Nile cruise for game viewing at close quarters. Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison ( Safari tent).

Day 4 : Murchison Falls National Park – Kibale Forest
We depart Murchison Falls and head towards Fort Portal. The lovely town of Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon and is famous for the many tea plantations. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale.

Day 5 : Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today the forest opens its doors for a sensational chimp tracking. Kibale Forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others. After a hearty lunch we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. As we enter the park, you might spot some wildlife like Uganda kobs, waterbucks and warthogs. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp.

Day 6 : Queen Elizabeth National Park
The day begins early as we head for the mating ground of the Uganda kobs. We will also look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which gives you the opportunity to enjoy some more of the African wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp.

Day 7 : Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi National Park
After breakfast we calmly transfer to Bwindi National Park. The scenic route runs through a verdant countryside while you pass traditional homesteads and farms. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 8 : Gorilla Tracking
The highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike and expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 9 : Bwindi National Park - Entebbe
After breakfast we head back to the capital city. En route we will pass the region that is also called “Little Switzerland in Uganda” and the Ugandan equator. With a stop for lunch we will arrive in Entebbe in the evening. Overnight at Airport Guesthouse.

Day 10 : Departure
Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories you will say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa. Depending on the time of departure you will have the opportunity to explore the town of Entebbe by yourself, with the Botanical Gardens and Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. In time you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. We are looking forward to seeing you again!
