Comment: | Upon arrival I was greeted by Fooad, the manager, at the airport. I was driven to my hotel (The Zoser. I thought it was a very nice hotel, maybe a 3 star by European standards. It was clean, comfortable, and had a nice buffet that was available all day/ While Fooad explained about Egypt and it's culture. The first day at the hotel I just fell asleep, since I had been traveling extensively. Day 2 I was met in the lobby by the driver I had yesterday from the airport. He took me to the Cairo museum where I met my guide, Maha. She is the best guide I had on my trip! (I had been traveling for 3 months). She was very nice, spoke perfect English, and would answer any questions that I had. Next time I go to Egypt (because I will be using this company again, I was very pleased) I will be contacting Maha and hopefully she can be my guide again. After the Cairo museum we went to a few shops in the city (like a papyrus museum (they have BEAUTIFUL work there), a perfume store and an Egyptian Cotton museum). My favorite store was probably the Topaz Bazzar, lots of really neat things there :) And you're not hassled on the street to buy souvenirs. We of course made the stop at the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Maha took some awesome pictures of me there, I can't thank her enough! Day three I was again met by my driver and we picked up Fooad on the way to the airport. As a single female traveler I felt very safe, even though Cairo was pretty much empty of tourists after the Revolution. I was never left alone except at the hotel. I highly recommend visiting Egypt, no lines lol! Everyone is really friendly and they just want people to come back to visit their beautiful country. I really had no problems there, and this company will make sure that you have the time of your life there. |

Comment: | We used this operator for Amman, Petra, Cairo, and Luxor. Overall we were pleased with the service, and the flexibility. The driver in Jordan was excellent, and answered all our questions. He took us to a nice restaurant in Petra. The Grand View hotel had a grand view but with no hot water and no bar open, it was not our favourite hotel after walking all day around Petra. On arrival in Cairo, our pickup man suggested we needed to pay more to fill in the day in Cairo. We feel this would have been better to bring up before we left home. Even after paying more to include the citadel in the tour, we still had a few hours to kill after the pyramids before we took the sleeper train. Our guide located a nice café which was appreciated. The guide in Luxor was excellent although we had difficulty getting into our room at the Iberotel at 2pm. Doing the Valley of the Kings and Karnak and Luxor temples after the train ride was too much in the heat for one day. The balloon ride on the second day was a highlight. We had prepaid for lunch and decided to relax in the excellent hotel grounds. The food was good but the service very slow. In the evening we did the Karnak sound and light. Considering we did a lot in 4 days, we believe Ms Lamia did a fine job in coordinating everything. |

Comment: | We had a wonderful time in Egypt, thanks to Lamia and her professional crew. We had several different guides and drivers throughout our 12-day excursion, and at every step we were pleased with their helpfulness and attention to detail. The guides, with their vast knowledge of history, were simply amazing. My wife and I had chosen them because we wanted a more personal approach to exploring the country, and we were not disappointed. No large buses packed with tourists; even our largest group was quite small, and most of the time it was just us, a guide, and a driver. Exactly what we'd hoped for. We felt we got a taste of the "real" Egypt, with some behind-the-scenes experiences that were certainly one of a kind. I'd be happy to recommend this company to anyone looking for a truly amazing experience in Egypt. Thanks so much for a great online resource! |

Comment: | They are reliable and punctual in their pick-ups and transfers. The staff was cooperative and willing to alter prog itenerary as per our requirements. The guides were well informed. The Boat cruise they arranged with Presidential Cruise Company was a pleasant expereince. The Cruise chef also catered to our special meal requirements. All in all it was a memorable service experience. |

Comment: | No problem saying a few words about our trip. It was excellent on the part of the operator. They were very helpful, always there, open to our requests for small changes in the plans, extremely friendly and provided us with very knowledgeable, interesting and fun guides. We had no problems at all, except for a pretty rough train ride from Cairo to Aswan ( a very old 1st class sleeper wagon with no heating, only air conditioning which could not be turned off, and broken lights ). The cruise on the “Monte Carlo” was perfect, transport from Luxor to the Red Sea was by private minivan ( just us 4 ). In fact, we were either on our own for the tours, or with max 4 other tourists, so never in large crowds for visits and explanations. An rep was always there at every point of our trip. We never had to wait for anyone, and were always taken care of. Even in Hurghada, where we had no excursions planned, the rep met us in the hotel at 9:00 PM the first night, organized a safari in the desert for us, called us again to make sure everything was OK, and then took us to the bus station on departure day, bought the tickets and stayed with us until we boarded the bus. Great service, and no tip requested…. That’s it! I’d happily recommend the operator to any one, and have told this the Lamia, the “boss”, by e-mail and phone. |

Comment: | Our Egypt Tour was wonderful. The private attention we got from our guide, tour manager and driver was refreshing in an age when many tours are so "large group" impersonal. They really made us feel like guests not just tourists. |

Comment: | An excellent introduction to what Egypt has to offer. From the initial contact with Lamia to the send-off from Cairo, everything went smoothly. We (a party of two) were met at the airport and guided through the formalities by Fouad, then transferred to our hotel (Zoser) - all at one o'clock in the morning. The hotel accommodation was quite acceptable. I liked the way Fouad checked out the room to make sure everything was working (e.g. the air-conditioning - essential at this time of year). Our visit next day to the Egyptian Museum was mind-blowing - you really could get up close to the Tutankhamun exhibits. By the way, there is much more at the museum than just this exhibition. Rasha was our guide and brought it all alive. Ayman was our driver in Cairo - possessed of nerves of steel. The air-conditioned vehicle was comfortable and roomy. The afternoon concluded with a visit to Gizah (Pyramids and Sphinx). During the day we were taken to a papyrus seller and goldsmith... We went to Aswan on the overnight sleeper. The sleeping compartments are reasonably comfortable and air-conditioned. Don't take too much luggage - there's not a lot of floor space! The evening and morning 'meals' provided by the train company are terrible - they would do better not to provide them at all: next time I'll try and get the hotel to make up a packed meal before we leave. The train ran late. All the same, we were met in the morning and transferred quickly to our Nile river boat - a floating hotel called the Nile Admiral. We didn't have time to book in - but our luggage was taken and we went straight on to an air-conditioned coach for our first excursion. All the excursions were excellent and guided by a first-class guide (Maged) - all part of the Nile Cruise package (Presidential is the company). Be aware that the trip to the Valley of the Kings is not included in the package: it is well worth booking on the boat, paying the extra - you won't regret it. The other point to remember is the early starts required to avoid the heat of the day. The cruise itself was really relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The room was comfortable, the meals (three a day, plus afternoon tea!) were excellent. Cruising down the Nile is something else; you leave your cares behind in the wake of the boat. After three days (you soon lose track!), it was time to take the sleeper from Luxor back to Cairo - the same comments as before. We went on the Sights of Cairo tour, taking in the central market - a bit of an anticlimax, as it was Sunday and the shopkeepers are mostly Christian; so it was mostly closed. Better at night-time, too, I would think. We did go to the Sound and Vision show at the Pyramids (late night sitting). This was an excellent way to round off our trip. The next day, we were again escorted to the airport and speedily sent on our way. I shall definitely return, bringing others of my family with me. |

Comment: | Through our contact, Lamia, I was able to book a customized tour for my parents and myself that included a few nights in Cairo/Giza, a train ride down to Aswan, a trip to Abu Simble, a 4 day nile cruise up to Luxor (with stops at Kom Ombo and Edfu) sightseeing in Luxor and a train ride back to Cairo/Giza. Along the way we were able to add optional excursions such as a sound and light show at the Pyramids and hot air ballooning in Luxor. We thought everything was very well planned, and we felt very looked out for. The guides were wonderful and sweet people, and knowledgeable Egyptologists, especially Marwa, our guide in Luxor, and Racha, our guide in Cairo was a wonderful and amazing person. No one related to the tour asked us for any type of tips and we felt that the guides and drivers were genuinely concerned about the experience we were having. I would recommend the operator to all my friends and acquaintances for trips to Egypt. |

Comment: | Overall Experience - Strong Positive - 4/5 Pros - Ontime reception at the airport. Orderly and ontime tours. English speaking and knowledgeable guides. Excellent Nile Cruise. Beautiful scenery and monuments. Worthwhile experience Cons - Local shopkeepers/ carriage drivers etc will hassle a lot. Must haggle a lot for any purchase and still be doubtful of quality. |

Comment: | I had an a very memorable and enjoyable tour of Egypt and the operator took care of all aspects of my trip very efficiently. All staff and guides were very friendly, knowledgeable and ensured my stay in Egypt was most rewarding. The feedback for improvement that I have is that it would be helpful if other sightseeing options not included in the "standard" tour are mentioned (as possible additions to the tour) and costed to enable the traveller, if he/she chooses to see them, to budget for it. For example there were many places of interest in and around Luxor not covered by the standard tour such as the Valley of the Queens, the temple complex of Medinat Habu etc that I visited at an extra cost that I was only made aware of then. |

Comment: | Every event for our tour package was very well organized and the tour guides and organizers was very professional and helpful. Unlike some tours to other countries we have been to, the final cost of the tour was pretty close to our initial budget. I would recommend this to any of my friends, and have already, and we also plan to visit again by the end of the year. |

Comment: | Thank you for giving me the opportunity to comment. We had a superb holiday in Egypt made all the more interesting by the very knowledgable guides that were provided, particularly Rasha. The hotel in Cairo - "Zoser" was of a good standard and although marked as 5 star would in all honesty be regarded as a good 3+ by European standards. The tour company provided air conditioned transport, were very flexible in meeting our needs as a group (12 in total) and came up with an interesting and varied mix of excursions, the tourist police and armed guard were reassuring in their presence whilst remaining unobtrusive. The only down side was the Cairo city element which due to the huge numbers of residents & crowding into all areas and rubbish in the streets gave a very poor impression to tourists, although maybe we should have expected this more than we did. Trying to cross the road on foot was an experience and the general standard of driving displayed by most of the residents within the city was close to a white knuckle ride of a fun fair, throughout which our driver to his credit maintained a calm approach giving much needed ressurance to the group. However it wasn't all bad, the Pyramids and Sphynx as you would expect still remain a highlight. Cairo museum whilst containing superb artifacts left us all a bit saddened by the conditions in which the exhibits were kept. Although this should change soon with the building of a new purpose built site. The mini cruise down the Nile was well worth it and everyone agreed that it would have been better to extend that part by two days and reduce the stay in Cairo. Luxor and Aswan provided a good contrast and allowed us to see the real Egypt that we had anticipated. |

Comment: | Our trip to Egypt was awesome! Even a week after being home, we can't stop talking about it. It's truly an amazing experience to visit the temples, to stand in front of pyramids that are almost 5,000 years old, to set foot inside the burial chambers of these pyramids, to cruise the spectacular Nile River, to swim in the Mediterranean Sea and to experience true Egyptian hospitality. We had a terrific driver (Ayman) and a great tour guide (Rasha), who invited us to her house to enjoy an Egyptian meal with her family. Words can't describe how remarkable our vacation to Egypt really was... |

Comment: | I just want to to send a message to make sure that I gave proper compliments to Resha and Ayman. My trip and time spent in Cairo was very enjoyable and I owe it all to their company, knowledge and friendship. They showed me things that I had only dreamed of seeing previously and took the time to introduce me to some local culture that went beyond the normal tourist items. I will remember my trip and time with them forever and will certainly recommend the company (and their guidance) to anyone I know who is considering a trip to Egypt in the future. |
